my felting - Lucy, the needlefelted mouse

I've planned some felting for this weekend, but something happened to my shoulder (it hurts badly) and the only thing I can do is typing :) So, I've finally decided to slightly update this English version of my blog...

And so - this is a piece, I made some 2 months ago. I'm quite happy with how this mouse turned out :)

It's scuplted from fine spanish merino wool.

The mouse is really tightly felted but I added some soft wool to her body in the end.

The arms and hands took soooooo long to make :)

I love working with good merino wool. It's a wonderful material!

Linen...

Don't you just love buying new supplies?

There is this linen mill 15min. drive from where I live. I just adore the shop they have there. Think of any fabric color and you will most probably find it in this shop...
Today I've bought some fabric - mostly in aqua, which I love lately :)

Rita's new bijou

Rita received an email some time ago. It suggested, there had been a package on the way. Rita became realy excited and decided to move to our mailbox. But it turned colder and Rita thouht she would have frozen, wearing only her favorite lingerie. As the days were passing, Rita was growing sadder and sadder...

And on last Wednesday the sun shined and the Post decided to have mercy on Rita. A white envelope appeared in our mailbox and I presumed it was from Rita's secret admirer...

Look, what Rita has found inside:

A pair of tiny silver earrings, in her favorite colors!

All Wednesday afternoon Rita was hiding in her cosy boudoir.
I took this paparazzi shot of her, trying on exquisite new bijou.

Thank you, so much Mamoon, for making Rita this happy!

And what did I make for Valentine's Day Swap?

As I wrote before, I had taken part in Valentine's Day Swap. It was real fun to get and no less fun to give :) I was Michelle's Valentine. And that's what I prepared:

A set of marble magnets. I called it "Tweet".

A needlefelted birdie.

My pride and joy: a ribbon with Michelle' name on it.
I wanted to try making such ribbons for some time now. I got the idea from wonderful PatchwokPottery site. It was fun to make, but my home smelled for two days :)

I packaged it all. With care.

I entrusted the Post with the task of handing it over to Michelle.
And did it reach her? Read here :)
